The apartment building is an example of Moscow Art Nouveau. The architectural structure is distinguished by light extended balconies with wrought-iron grilles, bay windows, and elegant lines of windows.
After the revolution, communal apartments were located in the former profitable property. The outstanding aircraft designer Vadim Shavrov lived in the house. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, the studio of the sculptor Z. K. Tsereteli was located in the basement. Currently, the house continues to be residential.
